I arrived in Alberta at the very beginning of June, 2021, when COVID quarantine rules were still in full swing. Getting across the border with my personal belongings was not hard as the Government of Canada had a long-running exemption for truck drivers. My family and I of course had to pick up a stack of PCR test kits at the land crossing, and subject ourselves to two weeks of in-house quarantine. But we'd figured out ahead of time that if we could clear our belongings through customs at the border they'd unload them at our house. That gave us two weeks of mandatory, stay-home time to unpack!
